Book
For the average person, the term ‘worship’ generally refers to the various activities that takes place within a Church building, usually on a Sunday morning. For some Pentecostal or Charismatic Christians, this may be classified as the segment within a Church service where songs are sung with musical accompaniment. While the above may contain some trut h, it however gives a mere myopic view of what worship really is. The question then to be asked is – what really constitutes true worship from God’s perspective?
The aim of this book ‘Rebuilding the Broken Altars’ is to get to the heart of the matter by establishing that true worship is not so much the various ‘activities’ we carry out in God’s name, but it is essentially a lifestyle under-girded by a certain heart condition that God approves of – a passionate desire to obey God in our daily lives. Jesus said that God is searching for true worshipers who will worship him in spirit (from the heart) and in truth (by obedience).
My hope is that the thoughts and principles outlined in this book will ignite in you a passion to develop a personal walk with God, which flows out of an intimate relationship with him.
